Description
Government Affairs 101 is an introductory session designed to help KBA members understand how local and state government decisions impact the building industry—and how your association advocates on your behalf.
This class will cover:
- Local. County and State Government Structures and how their policies affect permitting, housing, and development
- Key Acronyms
- Political Action Committees- What are they?
- What issues we are currently tracking and advocating for.
- Ways members can get involved and stay informed (without becoming a lobbyist!)
Whether you’re new to KBA, new to the industry, or simply want a clearer picture of how advocacy supports your business, this session will give you the foundation you need.
