Remodelers Council
Our Speaker this month is: Jefferey McChord, "House Rescuer" Nickel Brothers House Moving .
Carbon accounting is becoming another tool in the toolbox—not unlike indoor air quality or aging-in-place design. Most small remodelers aren't producing formal carbon reports, but understanding how material choices, waste reduction, and energy-efficient upgrades affect a home's environmental impact can help you better serve clients and stay ahead of where the industry is heading. He will be touching on Environmental Sustainability, Historic Preservation.
Our Chairperson for this Council is Sean Heines , Spruce Properties
What is the Remodelers Council?
The Remodelers Council was relaunched at the request of our members to provide a dedicated forum for professionals involved in remodeling, renovation, and other vertical construction projects. Separate from the Developer Council, which focuses on land development and horizontal construction, the Remodelers Council addresses the unique opportunities and challenges faced by builders, remodelers, specialty contractors, and industry partners working on existing structures.
The council serves as a place to connect, collaborate, and stay informed through:
- Jurisdictional, permitting, and code updates affecting remodeling and construction projects
- Discussions on challenges and trends impacting the remodeling industry
- Peer-to-peer exchange of ideas, best practices, and problem-solving strategies
- Educational presentations from industry experts and local agencies
- Networking opportunities with fellow professionals who understand the realities of working in existing homes and buildings
