About Us

Christian Gladu Design (CGD) has been designing custom homes, ADUs, and residential remodels since 1996. Based in Kingston, Washington, we work throughout Jefferson and Kitsap Counties, Bainbridge Island the San Juan Islands, the Olympic Peninsula, and the greater Pacific Northwest, with extensive experience in waterfront and coastal projects.

Our practice is grounded in a hands-on, construction-informed design approach**. We work closely with builders through feasibility, design, and permitting, with a clear understanding of site development, estimating, sequencing, and jobsite conditions. The result is drawings that are clear, coordinated, and buildable.

Projects are developed using **Building Information Modeling (BIM) and fully coordinated 3D models** to support accurate documentation and efficient construction. Our experience spans a wide range of building systems, including **ICF, timber frame and post-and-beam, conventional wood framing, CLT, volumetric prefab, and panelized prefabricated wall systems**. We collaborate closely with builders, engineers, and consultants to streamline permitting and reduce friction during construction.

Whether supporting a builder-led design-build project or partnering on a custom home through construction documents, we value strong communication, practical solutions, and being a reliable part of the project team.
